SHOPPING

Damongo, which is only 20 to 30 minutes away from the Park, is a great place to stop by when in need of basic provisions. Damongo has a market which stocks quite a good range of foodstuff. There are also a good number of convenience stalls.
Larabanga is popular for its yams, so do stop over if you are in need of delicious tubers of yam.

When it comes to souvenirs, Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region, is a good place to shop, although the best place to shop for smocks and traditional northern fabric, is Daboya (a three-hour journey from the Park).
