CONSERVATION EDUCATION

Mole National Park imparts various types of conservation education to different audience, through its Community Collaboration Unit (CCU). To do so, the CCU collaborates with the technical departments of the District Assemblies fringing Mole National Park; national and international NGOs such as Ricerca e Cooperazione and A Rocha; and individual experts. Presently the CCU is engaged, among other activities, in a school conservation education program focusing on Primary and JHS students in the Park’s fringe communities in the North and West Gonja, in collaboration with Ricerca e Cooperazione. The program also facilitates the development and strengthening of Wildlife clubs.

The CCU Unit is also engaged in building the capacity of the PAMAUs (Protected Areas Management Units) of West and North Gonja and Sawla Tuna Kalba, in collaboration with A Rocha and Ricerca e Cooperazione.
